Grand Canyon National Park
The Grand Canyon National Park is divided into the North Rim and the South Rim sections; they have separate areas on the U.S. National Park Service website.
Some people refer to the South Rim as the tourist park, and the North Rim as the photographers park. They both provide access to one of the world's great treasures and it is worth visiting both of them.
This gallery shows off why the North Rim is for photographers!
Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument
Situated along the southwest border between Arizona and Mexico, Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is the only place in the continental United States where the Organ Pipe Cactus grows naturally.
Tumacácori National Historic Park
Tumacácori Franciscan Mission is located just off of US Interstate 19, about an hour's drive south of Tucson, Arizona. It is about 20 miles north of the US-Mexico border at Nogales, Arizona.
The mission was built in the late 1700's and then abandoned in the 1800's due to Apache raids. The ruins originally comprised a National Monument designated by President Theodore Roosevelt. Now the 2 square mile area is managed by the United States National Park Service in Santa Cruz county.
