About

Hi there!
Thanks for looking at my photographs!

I am originally from Oregon and Washington in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. I've lived in Phoenix, Arizona since 2001 where I work as a software engineer. I caught the photography hobby bug in August, 2013.

Photography has led me to truly enjoy getting outdoors to seek, experience, and to try to capture the amazing and beautiful sights in Arizona and beyond. I try to get out every weekend with my dog Elmer to camp and photograph.

My fondness for spending time outdoors has led me to concentrate on landscape photography, especially at sunrise and sunset. I try to make photographs that let others see the beauty of the places I've seen. I hope they inspire others to visit, appreciate, and protect our beautiful country!

Getting around my website
As you look around my website please note that when you click on a link in the upper left corner, such as "Arizona", and then scroll down the page, you can click on the images such as "Grand Canyon National Park". Clicking on the images will open the gallery that you click on.
When you move your mouse over an image you can click on it to see it full size in your browser. This can help when looking at the "portrait" orientation photographs. You can then click on the left and right side of the page to scroll to another photograph.

Gear
For those that are interested, I use Nikon cameras and lenses, B+W filters, Manfrotto tripod and ballheads, and post process my images with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Visit my blog for more technical and geeky information about my equipment.
